Ryan Marner

Manager

Ryan joined the Wade Macdonald team near the end of 2021.

Ryan works within our specialist Senior Finance team, where he supports recruitment needs from Newly Qualified Accountants right the way through to Finance Directors on a permanent basis. He is one of the two Account Management leads, working with a handful of clients to create and manage relationships to offer the best support possible to their businesses.

Ryan graduated from University with a degree in HR Management and started in recruitment over 5 years’ ago with a small and niche search firm. Having shifted focus to Finance recruitment several years ago, Ryan’s picked up the core Finance market quickly and was a dab-hand at the more difficult Tax/Systems/ Technical/Credit Risk/Compliance recruitment and his many quick successes helped him establish a strong presence in the area as a go-to Finance Recruiter.

With a genuine love for seeing people excel professionally and his personable demeanour, Ryan is very well suited to recruitment and the best part of the job for him is helping others find their perfect employment match. A lot of Ryan’s past candidates and clients come back to him for help to grow their own teams or to get that next perfect role for their career, testament to his genuine interest in building long-term and meaningful relationships.

Ryan enjoys coming to work because he loves getting to see the people he has come to know (quickly) as friends, and having a laugh in and out of the office with them. He also joined Wade Macdonald in order to further his recruitment career progression prospects and has been delighted with the support that the management team have given and opportunities for personal development he has already seen.

Some of Ryan’s favourite things to do outside of work include hiking, bouldering, badminton, playing board and video games, running Pub Quizzes for his friends and singing at Karaoke; at one point doing so thrice a week! Always out socialising and with a finger on the pulse for new and exciting things to do in the area, Ryan greatly enjoys serving his friends as a ‘What’s Hot in Reading’ guide.
