Payroll Manager (Part-Time 30 Hours) £20-£25 per hour - Hayes (Office-Based) - Temp to Perm

About the Job
This is a key position responsible for overseeing and delivering the end-to-end payroll function across two UK entities. Working closely with both Finance and HR, you will act as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related matters, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing.
Duties will include:
- Managing two monthly payrolls from initial data collection through to BACS submission
- Maintaining and updating payroll systems, ensuring all employee data is accurate and up to date
- Calculating pay including variable elements such as commission, bonuses, share schemes and benefits
- Handling payroll queries from employees and management in a timely and professional manner
- Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and internal policies
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies relating to timesheets, incentives and payroll records
- Acting as the main liaison with HMRC
- Producing payroll reports for management and audit purposes
- Preparing statutory documentation including P11D, P60 and P45 forms
- Supporting payroll-related audit requirements
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of payroll information
About the Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have proven experience managing payroll processes, with essential experience using Workday. A strong understanding of UK payroll legislation is required, alongside excellent Excel and MS Office skills. You will be highly organised, detail-oriented and commercially aware, with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. A proactive, solution-focused mindset is essential.
