About the Job
This is a pivotal Management Accountant role supporting two specialist divisions. You will provide accurate and timely financial reporting, oversee project costing, and deliver meaningful analysis to aid commercial decision-making. Working closely with the Financial Controller and operational teams, you will ensure financial data aligns with project delivery and business performance objectives.
Duties will include:

Producing monthly management accounts, including detailed profit and loss analysis and overhead reporting

Analysing actual performance against budget, providing insightful commentary to senior stakeholders

Monitoring project margins and supporting delivery teams with forecast validation

Overseeing accurate cost allocation, including intercompany recharges

Reviewing work in progress, accruals and cost postings to ensure accuracy

Supporting annual budgeting and rolling forecast cycles

Assisting with revenue profiling, capital expenditure planning and overhead forecasting

Preparing supporting schedules for group reporting and financial modelling

Contributing to a smooth month-end close, including journals and reconciliations

Assisting with year-end processes and audit requirements

Maintaining financial system integrity across ERP and project accounting platforms

Collaborating with FP&A and commercial teams to enhance KPI reporting and visibility
About the Successful Applicant
You will be part-qualified or newly qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with experience in project-based accounting within a manufacturing, engineering or capital-intensive environment. Strong Excel capability and familiarity with cloud-based ERP systems are essential. You will be detail-oriented, organised and confident communicating financial information to both finance and operational stakeholders.
