About the Job
This Finance Manager position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of financial operations across the organisation. Working closely with the Director of Finance, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and financial controls while managing a small finance team. The role also partners with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure sound financial decision-making and strong governance.
Duties will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting the production of annual financial statements
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring processes
- Managing day-to-day finance operations including reconciliations, journals, and payment processes
- Overseeing payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing
- Producing financial reports and insights to support senior leadership decision-making
- Supporting VAT returns and statutory submissions to regulatory bodies
- Monitoring financial performance and working with budget holders across departments
- Leading, mentoring and developing members of the finance team
- Improving finance systems, processes, and reporting tools to enhance efficiency and transparency
About the Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will bring strong all-round finance experience, including management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls. You will have proven experience leading and developing a finance team, with the confidence to manage workloads, improve processes and maintain high standards. Strong analytical ability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with non-finance stakeholders across an organisation are essential.
