Management Accountant – Remote (with office in Newbury)
£45,000 – £45,000 per annum plus bonus plus benefits and study support

About the Job:
This is a broad and hands-on Management Accountant role, ideal for someone part-qualified and eager to develop further in a remote-first finance team. You’ll be responsible for producing accurate and timely management accounts, supporting the forecasting and budgeting cycle, and providing meaningful financial insight to stakeholders across the organisation. The role includes month-end responsibilities, financial controls, and the chance to work closely with both operations and senior finance.
Duties will include:

Preparing monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and financial performance reports

Supporting budget and forecast cycles, including working with department heads to gather key inputs

Posting month-end journals (accruals, prepayments, adjustments) and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations

Ensuring revenue is recognised in line with IFRS15, including WIP and deferred revenue treatment

Acting as a finance partner to operational teams, clearly communicating financial information to non-finance colleagues

Contributing to internal audits and ensuring compliance with internal financial controls

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function, including reporting efficiency and system enhancements
About the Successful Applicant:
You will be part-qualified or actively studying towards CIMA or ACCA, with experience producing management accounts and strong Excel skills. A solid understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and confidence working with financial systems (ideally NetSuite) is key. The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, able to work independently, and comfortable communicating financial information to a wide range of stakeholders.
