About the Job

This is a fixed-term opportunity for an experienced HR Officer to join a busy HR team and take a lead role in employee relations. Reporting into the HR Advisor, this role will focus on ensuring consistent, fair, and legally compliant HR practices while supporting broader HR functions including operations, policy implementation and learning and development. Duties will include:

 

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all employee relations matters, including grievances and disciplinary processes
  • Supporting managers with performance and conduct issues
  • Investigating employee concerns and producing clear reports and recommendations
  • Contributing to a positive culture through proactive communication and engagement
  • Delivering training to line managers on effective people management
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and learning initiatives
  • Maintaining HR systems and ensuring GDPR compliance
  • Assisting with payroll coordination and general HR administration
  • Responding to day-to-day HR queries around benefits, policies, and systems
  • Participating in wider HR projects to improve the employee experience
  • Supporting health and safety, including First Aider and Fire Marshall duties

 

About the Successful Applicant

You will be CIPD Level 5 qualified (or above), with a degree and at least four years’ HR experience, including significant exposure to employee relations. Confident with UK employment law, you’ll also have strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. Experience using HR systems (preferably Workday) and working in a fast-paced, office-based environment is preferred.
