About the Job
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position is responsible for leading a small finance team and ensuring the smooth running of financial operations. The Finance Manager will play a key role in managing reporting activities, month-end processes, and financial controls across the business.

Duties will include:

  • Performing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, including fixed assets, accruals, and prepayments
  • Authorising payroll, mileage claims, and additional payments
  • Overseeing payment runs for payroll, suppliers, and expenses
  • Supporting accounts receivable with credit control and insurance management
  • Managing intercompany transactions and quarterly service charges
  • Producing sales, margin, and overhead cost reports for senior stakeholders
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns and related reconciliations
  • Handling recurring month-end journals
  • Supporting the implementation of the monthly customer rebate system
  • Delegating tasks within accounts payable to ensure accurate and timely payments

About the Successful Applicant
You will be a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA), with a solid grounding in accruals and accounting principles. Strong Excel skills are essential, and experience with SAP or similar systems is advantageous. You’ll be an effective communicator, confident in managing stakeholder expectations, and adept at leading and developing a team.
