About the Job
This is a senior finance leadership role. It is essential you are experienced hands on leader with experience managing, coaching and developing both local and international teams. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership of the quality, consistency and effectiveness of the Group's transactional finance activities.
You will lead teams responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable and reconciliations, ensuring accurate data and robust supporting information is available for wider financial reporting.
Duties will include:
- Leading, coaching and developing international bookkeeping, credit control and accounts payable teams.
- Establishing clear expectations, controls and performance measures across transactional finance.
- Overseeing debtor ledgers and ensuring collection forecasts are accurate and dependable.
- Ensuring customer accounts, credit terms and limits are appropriately established and regularly reviewed.
- Maintaining effective debt collection processes and ensuring receipts are allocated promptly.
- Driving the investigation and resolution of discrepancies, unidentified receipts and outstanding credits.
- Working closely with operational colleagues to maintain accurate customer account information and support effective collection activity.
- Overseeing supplier ledgers, ensuring balances are reconciled and outstanding items are investigated promptly.
- Ensuring supplier payment schedules and month-end accrual information are complete, accurate and appropriately supported.
- Overseeing employee expense payments and associated controls.
- Ensuring bank accounts are reconciled daily, with unexplained transactions identified and resolved quickly.
- Developing meaningful team KPIs and using these to improve individual and collective performance.
- Providing reliable transactional information and supporting schedules for the monthly accounting process.
- Travelling internationally when required to work alongside and develop overseas finance teams.
About the Successful Applicant
You will be an experienced people leader with a strong background in bookkeeping or transactional finance and the ability to combine empathy with clear accountability and high standards. Experience managing finance teams is essential, alongside practical knowledge of Sage and Microsoft Office. You will be comfortable operating internationally and working closely with senior leadership. An AAT or similar finance qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
What You Will Receive in Return
You will receive a salary of upto £90,000 FTE . This is a highly visible leadership position reporting directly to the Group CEO and the role with have internal pressured due to the fast paced nature of the business. It will and offers the opportunity to shape and develop bookkeeping teams across an expanding international organisation.
