About the Job
This is an ongoing temporary position requiring a confident HR Advisor to join a small, hands-on HR team. The successful applicant will support managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle, working closely with the Head of HR to provide generalist advice, manage processes, and contribute to a range of operational and administrative HR duties.
Duties will include:
- Coordinating end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and compliance checks (including DBS and Right to Work)
- Advising on employee relations matters including grievance, disciplinary, and absence management
- Preparing payroll information and liaising with finance
- Supporting employee wellbeing initiatives and internal staff communications
- Producing HR reports and maintaining accurate records in line with GDPR
- Administering learning and development activities and probation tracking
- Ensuring timely responses to HR queries and managing the HR inbox
- Assisting in policy development and deputising for the Head of HR when required
About the Successful Applicant
You will have 3–5 years of recent, UK-based HR advisory experience in a generalist capacity, ideally within a small organisation. CIPD Level 3 or 5 would be a bonus, along with strong interpersonal skills, up-to-date employment law knowledge, and the ability to manage competing priorities with a hands-on and proactive approach.
