About the Job
This newly created opportunity will suit a part-qualified Management Accountant looking to develop their career in a broad, hands-on role. Reporting to senior finance, you will be responsible for providing financial insights and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. The role combines management reporting, cost analysis, budgeting, and support with audits and payroll.
Duties will include:

Preparation of monthly management accounts, with a focus on manufacturing processes

Inventory and costing analysis to support production efficiency

Month-end close activities and analytical reviews across the general ledger

Coordination and compilation of annual budgets

Liaison with external auditors and preparation of audit files

Review of product profitability and identification of internal control gaps

VAT return preparation and submission, alongside general cashbook duties

Management of pension summaries, investment reports, and year-end audit files

Support for stocktakes and reconciliation of inventory variances

Authorisation of payment runs and coordination of monthly payroll
About the Successful Applicant
You will be part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) and ideally hold an AAT Level 3 or 4, or a relevant degree. With a minimum of two years’ experience in an accounts environment, you’ll bring a strong understanding of management accounts, P&L, and balance sheet reporting. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines are essential.
