About the Job
This is a pivotal role responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the HR Services team, overseeing payroll, reward, and benefits processes, and ensuring smooth execution of cyclical HR and reward activities. You'll lead and manager a team of coordinators and advisors while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business to deliver an efficient, compliant, and forward-thinking people service. Duties will include:

 

  • Leading and supporting the HR Services and Payroll team, ensuring clear priorities and strong performance (previous team management is a must)
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for reward, payroll, and benefits administration
  • Assisting with the implementation of a new HRIS with current migration underway
  • Driving improvements in systems and processes to reduce administrative workload
  • Owning the Payroll Governance process and managing third-party provider relationships
  • Supporting annual reward processes including salary review, bonus, and benefits renewals. Partnering with Finance on pay-related changes and working through compliance updates
  • Collaborating on HRIS improvements, ensuring data integrity
  • Managing several exciting HR projects that need rolling-out
  • Occasional UK-wide travel, with all expenses covered (likely once every few months)

 

About the Successful Applicant
You will bring team management experience, solid skills in payroll and reward within a fast-paced environment, ideally from manufacturing, engineering, or similar sectors. Strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and confidence working across HR systems are key.
