About the Successful Applicant
You will have solid HR generalist experience within a primary, secondary or multi academy trust environment, with a proven ability to manage complex employee relations. A CIPD qualification (or working towards one), strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset are key. You’ll need a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for school visits.
About the Job
This is a wide-ranging role supporting a group of schools with all aspects of HR. You’ll work closely with school leaders and managers, offering expert advice and guidance while contributing to Trust-wide initiatives. This hybrid position involves regular travel to schools within the Trust and participation in key HR projects. You will report into the Head of HR Business Partnering.
Duties will include:
- Leading recruitment strategy and engagement activities across the Trust, including recruitment fairs and sponsorship processes
- Advising on employee relations matters such as disciplinary, grievance, and performance issues
- Coaching leaders on the application of HR policy and employment law compliance
- Supporting schools with absence and wellbeing management
- Assisting with payroll coordination and resolving pay-related issues
- Partnering on restructures, consultations, and staffing reviews
- Enhancing HR systems and processes to improve service delivery
- Facilitating training and development sessions for staff
- Ensuring robust safer recruitment practices and oversight of compliance measures
