About the Job

This is a senior finance role responsible for leading the management accounting and financial control function, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. You will play a key role in maintaining a robust control environment while supporting strategic financial processes and managing a small team.

Duties will include:

  • Overseeing month-end and quarter-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Reviewing key accounting judgements, including accruals, provisions, and non-recurring items
  • Managing balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations and approvals
  • Supporting the production of monthly management accounts and board reporting
  • Strengthening and maintaining financial controls, including documentation and compliance
  • Leading cash flow forecasting and challenging assumptions where required
  • Coordinating external audits, including preparation of financial statements and key papers
  • Liaising with tax teams to ensure accurate and timely submissions
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting requirements
  • Managing and developing a team of Management Accountants
  • Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial control

About the Successful Applicant

You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS. You will have proven experience leading finance teams, alongside excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders. A detail-focused and proactive approach, combined with audit experience and a collaborative mindset, is essential.
