UK&I Finance Manager

Location - Reading, Berkshire - Hybrid Working 3 days in the office 
Salary £55,000- £60,000 + Excellent Benefits

Wade Macdonald are currently working with a well-established organisation within the Manufacturing and service sector (£1.3 billion t/o)who are looking to appoint a UK&I Finance Manager to join their growing finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, strengthening financial controls, and supporting strategic business decision-making across the organisation. This role would also be a great opportunity for a Practiced train accountant looking to move into industry.

About the Job

The UK&I Finance Manager will act as a strategic partner to operational and senior finance stakeholders, providing valuable financial insight and ensuring robust financial governance across the business. The position combines technical accounting responsibilities with commercial support, leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties will include:

  • Supporting operational finance teams with billing queries and trading-related journal approvals
  • Maintaining strong financial controls and overseeing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with the preparation and review of management accounts and monthly overhead reporting
  • Preparing financial commentary for board-level reporting
  • Managing budget timelines, templates, and reporting processes
  • Supporting operational teams with technical accounting matters and reporting requirements
  • Monitoring forecasts and ensuring budget comparisons remain accurate throughout the financial year
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing members of the accounting team
  • Supporting integration activities relating to acquisitions and business changes
  • Promoting automation initiatives and continuous process improvements across finance operations
  • Ensuring fixed asset registers and CAPEX processes are maintained in line with policy
  • Building strong relationships with finance and operational stakeholders across the business

About the Successful Applicant

You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least two years’ post-qualified experience. Strong Excel skills are essential, alongside the ability to communicate financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders. You will be an organised and proactive team player with strong leadership capabilities, a collaborative approach, and a passion for driving process improvements and developing others.
