About the Job

A strategic and hands-on opportunity to lead the financial function of a business unit within a wider group. Reporting directly to the Business Unit Leader and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Finance will own the forecasting process, oversee all financial operations, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation. The role demands strong commercial awareness, technical expertise, and the ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level.

Duties will include:

  • Leading the quarterly forecasting process and ensuring consistent accuracy across reporting cycles

  • Presenting meaningful financial insights and commentary to internal stakeholders

  • Supporting operational improvements through performance analysis and monitoring execution plans

  • Advising on contract terms and ensuring financial compliance across bids and partnerships

  • Managing end-to-end finance operations including reporting, treasury, and statutory compliance

  • Delivering process improvements to enhance the financial close and reporting cycle

  • Acting as the main contact for audit-related queries

  • Leading and developing a high-performing Finance team with a focus on learning and succession planning

  • Working collaboratively across departments and attending senior leadership meetings


About the Successful Applicant

You’ll be a qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent) with strong technical knowledge of IFRS (particularly IFRS 15/ASC 606) and a minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience. Previous exposure to software or telecommunications is advantageous, as is Big 4 experience. You’ll bring advanced Excel skills, strong system proficiency, and a commercial mindset, alongside excellent presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
