About the Job

This is a varied and hands-on role within a busy finance function, offering exposure across payables, management accounts, and underwriting reporting. You will play a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting month-end processes, and maintaining strong controls across multiple entities.

Duties will include:

  • Overseeing the purchase ledger, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
  • Managing the finance inbox and responding to internal and external queries
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts for UK and Irish entities
  • Posting journals, preparing accruals and prepayments, and completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting month-end close processes and reporting deadlines
  • Reviewing and analysing financial and underwriting data to ensure accuracy
  • Producing underwriting reports and bordereaux in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Assisting with claims-related reporting and insurance fund payments
  • Providing cover across the wider finance team when required

About the Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have prior experience within a finance function, particularly across purchase ledger and/or management accounts, alongside strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail. You will be organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple deadlines. Experience within financial services is advantageous, and you will be studying towards (or planning to begin) ACCA, CIMA or ACA.

What You Will Receive in Return

You will join a supportive and collaborative finance team within a growing organisation that values development and progression. A  hybrid working arrangement is offered after training, alongside study support for professional qualifications, company pension, on-site parking, and the opportunity to gain broad exposure across UK and Irish entities within a dynamic finance environment.
