About the Job
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive finance Assistant to join a busy finance function. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will support a broad range of accounting and administrative duties, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the finance and bursary department.

Duties will include:

  • Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Processing purchase orders, invoices, expenses, and card transactions
  • Maintaining accurate purchase and sales ledger records
  • Supporting payment collection processes and responding to account queries
  • Assisting with treasury and petty cash administration
  • Producing reports and supporting budget holders with financial updates
  • Assisting with year-end finance activities and general administration
  • Managing stationery orders and maintaining finance records
  • Providing support to wider teams with finance and administrative queries
  • Supporting occasional school events and wider organisational activities

About the Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have previous finance or accounts administration experience, ideally within education, charity, or a similar environment. You will be confident using Excel and financial systems, highly organised, and capable of managing workloads effectively. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
