About the Job
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a close-knit team where you will be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks. The role is office-based and would suit someone who thrives in a hands-on, client-facing position.

Duties will include:

  • Processing of sales and purchase ledger transactions using Xero
  • Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
  • Maintaining accurate VAT records and preparing VAT returns
  • Reviewing VAT transactions against supporting documentation
  • Preparing and submitting CIS returns
  • Liaising with HMRC on VAT, Payroll and CIS matters
  • Assisting with accounts preparation
  • Responding to ad-hoc client queries
  • Supporting clients with cloud-based software including Xero and QuickBooks
  • Processing payroll and pensions

About the Successful Applicant
You will have previous experience in a similar bookkeeping role, ideally with exposure to Xero. Strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and a methodical approach are essential. A good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is required.
