Accountant – German Speaking
Location: Remote working
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum, Plus 20% Bonus and Study Support if Required

About the Job:
This is a broad accounting role with responsibility across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, as well as bank reconciliations and month-end support. You’ll be the go-to person for resolving financial queries, maintaining accuracy across ledgers, and liaising with German-speaking clients and vendors.
Duties will include:

Managing the full cycle of Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor reconciliations

Handling Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, cash allocation, and following up on overdue balances

Acting as a key contact for both vendors and customers, including those based in German-speaking regions

Performing daily multi-currency bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies

Supporting the month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting

Maintaining organised documentation for audit and compliance purposes

Contributing to the improvement of financial processes and internal controls
About the Successful Applicant:
You will be a fluent German speaker with experience in both AP and AR functions, ideally within a fast-paced, international environment. A strong grasp of accounting principles, excellent Excel skills, and proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite are essential. You will hold (or be working towards) a recognised accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
