About the Client
This multinational organisation has a strong UK and European presence and offers a welcoming, down-to-earth working culture. They value different perspectives and believe in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can contribute and feel supported. You'll be joining a collaborative environment where people are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and grow their careers.
About the Job
This is a hands-on role in a small, friendly tax team, supporting UK tax for the business. You’ll be the point of contact for UK corporation tax and VAT, making sure everything’s in order and deadlines are hit. Alongside compliance, you’ll also have the chance to get involved in wider business projects and work closely with both UK and European teams.
Duties will include:
• Helping with UK tax group compliance, including Group Relief, SAO reporting and CIR returns
• Preparing corporation tax returns and handling VAT returns
• Supporting year-end tax work and dealing with queries from external auditors
• Partnering with different teams to offer practical tax advice on business and systems changes
• Keeping on top of tax law updates and helping communicate key changes internally
• Assisting with VAT across European operations and publishing tax updates within the business
About the Successful Applicant
You’ll need around three years of UK tax experience under your belt, plus solid Excel skills and confidence using systems such as SAP. It’s important you’re organised, comfortable juggling deadlines, and happy working both independently and as part of a team. A tax qualification (or working towards one) such as ATT, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is desirable.
What You Will Receive in Return
You'll join a supportive team that values work-life balance and collaboration. There’s plenty of room to learn and develop, plus the flexibility of hybrid working. You’ll get exposure to both UK and European tax matters and be part of a company that genuinely invests in its people.
