About the Job

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Part Qualified Management Accountant to join an established Finance team, reporting directly to the FP&A Manager.

This is a varied position offering exposure to management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and business partnering. You will play an important role in maintaining financial controls, supporting operational decision making and contributing to the continued development of the Finance function.

Duties will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and ensuring reporting deadlines are achieved.
• Preparing accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintaining fixed asset records, including depreciation and asset movements.
• Managing intercompany accounting and resolving reconciliation differences.
• Reviewing overhead expenditure and investigating variances against budgets.
• Producing financial analysis and cost centre reports for operational stakeholders.
• Supporting monthly Group reporting, including submissions to the US parent organisation.
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Maintaining lease accounting schedules and supporting compliance requirements.
• Providing financial information for internal and external audits.
• Assisting with VAT, corporation tax and other statutory reporting obligations.
• Identifying opportunities to strengthen financial controls and improve existing processes.

About the Successful Applicant

You will ideally be studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA, with previous experience in management accounting and month end reporting. Finalists and qualified by experience candidates will also be considered. Strong Excel skills, experience of balance sheet reconciliations and excellent attention to detail are essential. You will be confident communicating with stakeholders, managing deadlines and working within a busy Finance environment.
