About the Business

Join a large, established international organisation that provides customer experience, technology and business services to a diverse range of well-known clients. The business operates within a fast-paced, service-led environment, combining people, technology and operational expertise to deliver solutions for its customers. You will ideally come from a background of Hospitality, Retail or similar to a call centre.

The Role

  • Act as a trusted HR Advisor to managers, providing practical, commercial and pragmatic HR advice.
  • Manage a busy and varied Employee Relations caseload from initial advice through to resolution.
  • Support managers with disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance management cases.
  • Lead and support investigations, formal meetings and complex employee matters.
  • Provide advice around flexible working, family-related matters and other employee lifecycle issues.
  • Manage and support Occupational Health referrals, guiding managers on recommendations, reasonable adjustments and next steps.
  • Coach, mentor and guide managers, building their confidence and capability when dealing with people-related matters.
  • Encourage managers to take greater ownership of their people responsibilities while providing appropriate HR support and challenge.
  • Get involved with TUPE transfers, supporting the HR and people aspects of transfers and associated change.
  • Support wider organisational change and transformation activity where required.
  • Pull together regular and ad-hoc HR reports, people data and management information.
  • Analyse HR data and metrics to identify trends, risks and areas requiring action.
  • Use data and insight to support conversations with managers and help drive better people decisions.
  • Work closely with the wider HR team and key stakeholders across the business.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as an HR Advisor, ER Advisor or in a similar generalist HR role.
  • Strong, hands-on Employee Relations experience and confidence managing cases from start to finish.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience of coaching, mentoring and guiding managers through people-related matters.
  • Confidence influencing and appropriately challenging managers and stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting Occupational Health referrals and recommendations.
  • TUPE experience would be a real advantage, although candidates with some exposure and a desire to develop their TUPE knowledge will also be considered.
  • Comfortable working with HR data, reports and people metrics.
  • A data-driven and analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret information, identify trends and turn data into meaningful insight.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused and commercially aware approach.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and managing competing priorities in a busy environment.

Why Join?

  • A genuinely varied HR Advisor role with Employee Relations at its core.
  • The opportunity to manage interesting and complex ER cases.
  • Plenty of scope to coach and develop managers, rather than simply giving HR advice.
  • Exposure to TUPE transfers and organisational change.
  • Responsibility for HR reporting, data and people insights.
  • The opportunity to develop your HR experience within a broad, hands-on position.
  • 25 days holiday + BH – option to buy 5 days
  • Life assurance x 4
  • Flexible Enhanced Family Leave Pay
  • Exclusive Discounts & Offers
  • 24/7 Health and Wellbeing Support

If you're an experienced HR professional who enjoys Employee Relations, developing managers and using data to make better people decisions, we'd love to hear from you.
