About the Client

Our client is a growing Financial Services organisation with a strong presence across London and Manchester.

This is an organisation where ambitious people can make their mark. They believe in empowering employees with the tools and trust they need to take ownership, develop their capabilities and progress. With continued business growth, this is an excellent environment for someone who wants their responsibilities and career to grow with them.

About the Job

This is far more than an HR administration opportunity. It is an exceptional entry point for someone who is serious about building a long-term career in HR.

You will gain broad, practical exposure across the employee lifecycle, working closely with employees and managers while developing experience in recruitment, employee relations, payroll, performance, learning and development, and wider HR projects.

Most importantly, there is genuine scope to progress. The organisation wants someone with drive, curiosity and the desire to keep learning. As your knowledge and confidence develop, you will be encouraged to take on greater responsibility, with the potential to progress towards HR Advisor and ultimately HR Manager level.

Duties will include:

  • Maintaining employee information, records and HR documentation to a high standard
  • Providing administrative support throughout recruitment and selection processes
  • Coordinating interviews and supporting candidate communications
  • Managing documentation relating to starters, changes and leavers
  • Monitoring annual leave, sickness absence and probationary periods
  • Coordinating rotas across multiple locations
  • Assisting with monthly payroll administration
  • Organising training activities and keeping learning records up to date
  • Producing employee correspondence, HR reports and supporting documentation
  • Responding to day-to-day HR enquiries from employees and managers
  • Assisting managers with reviews, development activities and people processes
  • Supporting the consistent application of HR policies and procedures
  • Getting involved in wider HR projects and helping improve existing processes
  • Gradually taking on broader HR responsibilities as your experience develops

About the Successful Applicant

You will either have some HR experience or have started studying towards the CIPD and have a genuine desire to progress within HR.

What You Will Receive in Return

The standout benefit here is career progression. This is an opportunity to learn HR properly through hands-on exposure rather than remaining focused purely on administration.

You will have the chance to broaden your experience across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, payroll and HR projects, with increasing responsibility as you prove yourself.

For someone with the drive to learn, take ownership and push their career forward, the potential progression towards HR Advisor and HR Manager makes this an unusually strong opportunity at this level.

You will receive a salary of £35,000 per annum, full-time weekday hours and the opportunity to develop your career within a growing organisation where your contribution can have a visible impact.

If you are at the beginning of your HR career but have the ambition to go much further, this could be the opportunity that gives you the breadth of experience to get there.
