Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire (Hybrid)
Salary: £70,000 – £75,000 + 25% Bonus + Benefits

About the Job
This is a key leadership role, responsible for the delivery of accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance across the group. The Financial Controller will play a pivotal part in supporting business strategy and operational delivery, collaborating closely with Tax, Treasury and FP&A leaders. You'll also lead and develop a small finance team, oversee the audit process and contribute to systems and process improvements.
Duties will include:

Overseeing the monthly management accounts process to ensure accuracy and timeliness

Managing statutory accounts preparation under UK GAAP and coordinating the external audit

Ensuring financial compliance across areas including VAT, PAYE/NIC and corporation tax

Maintaining and strengthening the internal control framework and ensuring risk mitigation

Submitting regulatory filings with HMRC and Companies House

Supporting integration of acquisitions into group reporting processes

Leading financial inputs into system upgrades and improvements (NetSuite, PowerBI etc.)

Managing and developing the financial accounting team(6 direct reports), encouraging professional growth

Assisting with finance-led projects including capital expenditure and lease accounting
About the Successful Applicant
You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with proven post-qualification experience in a similar role. A strong understanding of UK GAAP (FRS 102), experience managing audits and preparing statutory accounts is essential. You will also bring strong systems knowledge, particularly around ERP platforms and Excel, along with the ability to clearly communicate financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
