About the Job
This interim opportunity offers a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and statutory compliance within a UK manufacturing site. Acting as a key member of the leadership team, you’ll ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, manage governance obligations, and support strategic decision-making.
Duties will include:
- Overseeing internal controls, compliance, and group financial reporting standards
- Providing key financial insights and recommendations to the General Manager and group stakeholders
- Ensuring the company’s legal and statutory obligations are met, including Company Secretary duties
- Managing the monthly close process, including reconciliations and payroll checks
- Preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Overseeing the accuracy of cost centre allocations and customer/product margin analysis
- Leading and supporting an offshore finance team
- Liaising with auditors and preparing statutory accounts
- Ensuring tax compliance across VAT, Corporation Tax, and other regulatory requirements
About the Successful Applicant
You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting expertise and prior experience in manufacturing. You’ll bring excellent analytical skills, a confident grasp of ERP systems, and the ability to manage reporting in a matrixed environment. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
