About the Job
Reporting to the Credit Control Team Leader, this role focuses on managing a portfolio of accounts, improving cash collection performance, and mitigating financial risk. You will play a key role in maintaining strong cash flow and ensuring effective credit control processes across the business.
Duties will include:
- Managing and collecting outstanding debt in line with agreed targets and timelines
- Monitoring customer accounts and maintaining accurate records within finance systems
- Producing regular reports on aged debt and account status
- Handling customer queries and resolving disputes promptly to avoid escalation
- Issuing formal communications to overdue accounts when required
- Supporting legal escalation processes through preparation of relevant documentation
- Processing card payments and reconciling account balances
- Contributing to the reduction of aged debt and improving overall ledger performance
About the Successful Applicant
You’ll have at least two years of experience in a similar role, supported by strong Excel and finance system skills (ideally SAGE). You will be highly organised, with excellent numerical accuracy and confidence managing high-volume ledgers. Strong communication skills are key, along with the ability to prioritise effectively, resolve issues proactively, and build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
