About the Job
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Control Manager to take responsibility for a busy B2B ledger while overseeing a small team. The role will combine hands-on credit control with team support, reporting and process improvement, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure outstanding debt is managed effectively.
Duties will include:
- Taking ownership of a busy B2B ledger across a range of customer accounts
- Managing aged debt and ensuring outstanding balances are followed up effectively
- Developing positive working relationships with customers and key internal contacts
- Resolving invoice queries, payment issues and disputed accounts
- Producing regular reporting around aged debt, collections and ledger performance
- Working with other departments to resolve issues that may be delaying payment
- Reviewing current credit control processes and identifying areas for improvement
- Managing and supporting a small team with their day-to-day workload
- Supporting with reconciliations and wider finance tasks when required
About the Successful Applicant
You will have strong Credit Control experience within a B2B environment, ideally gained across a busy ledger with multiple customer accounts. Previous experience managing or supervising a small team is important, alongside confidence handling aged debt, queries and disputes. You will be comfortable working with different areas of the business and keen to improve existing processes and ways of working.
