About the Job
This is a senior-level opportunity within the finance function, focused on managing low-value, high-volume business-to-business debt across multiple accounts. The position will suit a confident and proactive individual who enjoys building strong relationships, driving improvements, and leading a small team. Alongside overseeing day-to-day credit control activity, the successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing and improving existing processes.

Duties will include:

  • Managing the collection of high-value B2B debt across a portfolio of key accounts
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payment of outstanding balances
  • Investigating and resolving invoice queries and disputed accounts efficiently
  • Working closely with internal departments to resolve customer issues and improve cash collection
  • Monitoring aged debt and producing regular reports on ledger performance
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing more efficient ways of working
  • Managing and supporting one direct report, providing guidance and oversight where required
  • Assisting with additional finance-related duties, including reconciliations and reporting tasks

About the Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience within credit control, including previous team management responsibility. They will be confident and proactive in their approach, and comfortable working collaboratively across the business. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to contribute to process improvement initiatives are essential.
