About the Job
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to support the delivery of effective financial management and strategic priorities. You’ll be a key contributor to financial reporting, forecasting, and budget control processes, while leading junior finance staff and engaging with senior stakeholders.

Duties will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of accurate and timely financial services aligned with strategic objectives
  • Producing and maintaining the annual budget and financial plans through detailed analysis and recommendations
  • Preparing monthly reports, costings and financial commentary for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards and audit requirements
  • Managing financial records and ensuring the accurate processing of transactions and budget adjustments
  • Assisting in year-end processes
  • Deputising for senior finance colleagues and representing the finance function in meetings
  • Providing expert financial input on projects, business cases and tender evaluations
  • Overseeing the management and forecasting of pay budgets and workforce establishment data

About the Successful Applicant
You will be fully AAT qualified (or working towards this), with experience in a finance role within a large organisation. Strong Excel skills, the ability to analyse complex data, and excellent communication are essential. Experience working in the public sector and progress towards ACCA or CIMA qualifications will be advantageous.
