Business Director - Senior Finance - Interim Division

Brian specialises in senior finance recruitment, placing finance managers, financial controllers, heads of finance and senior interim finance professionals across the Thames Valley and London. He has 25 years of experience in the market and has focused throughout on owner-managed and PE-backed SMEs, where the right finance appointment can change the direction of the business.

Brian believes the best recruitment is built on relationships rather than transactions. He takes the time to understand what a business needs and what a candidate wants from their next move, and he shares market insight freely along the way. His approach is consultative and honest, and it has earned him long-term relationships with clients and candidates who come back to him.

With an MSc in Occupational Psychology, Brian brings a deeper understanding of people, motivation and fit to every assignment. He is also training as a coach, which helps him support senior finance leaders through career transitions.

Outside work, Brian is a trustee at Maiden Erlegh Trust and sits on the main board and finance committee. He plays bass guitar (badly!), collects vinyl, and is a lifelong fan of The Cure and Suede. He cycles and is a long-suffering fan of Watford FC.
