My client is a long-established, Financial Services company based in Central Bracknell.
They are currently seeking a Treasury and Cash allocation specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Treasury Finance team is an intrinsic part of the large on-site Finance function and you will be recognised and rewarded for hard work and positive results. The working environment and culture is high-spirited, dynamic, busy and very sociable.
You will be required to monitor and ensure the accurate processing and timely allocation of all bank statement and direct debits transactions. Administering daily bank reconciliation & settlement of cash receipts for multiple entities. All in accordance with internal controls, policies, procedures and practices.
Duties include:
Shared responsibility for the daily bank statement allocation process for individual entity bank accounts.
The manual daily banking and processing of customer cheques.
BACS file processing including daily DD uploading to bank.
Daily Bank Account Reconciliation.
Matching bank statement entries verses bank and intercompany nominal.
Process unpaid cheques from customers account.
Reporting on unallocated, unidentified customer receipts & aged items.
Ensure cash transactions are correctly reported in the nominal ledger and payment systems.
Actively manage any aged unmatched items.
Reconciliation of bulk debit card payments, processed by external third-party Service provider.
Resolve payment allocation queries in a timely & customer focused manner.
Applying TCF considerations at all times.
The Candidate:
Working experience in loan servicing and cash allocations in the Financial or Banking sectors
Experience working across multiple entity bank accounts
Proficient in Direct Debit file processing and knowledge of BACS processing regulations
Excellent IT skills. including advanced Excel knowledge
Takes responsibility & ownership for own role; Pro-active; flexible and adaptable to change
Detail conscious with good communication skills
Good interpersonal skills and works well in a team; contributes to the achievement of team objectives
