Trainee Accountant - Central Reading - £18,000 - £20,000 per annum + Benefits
The company
An outstanding professional services business based in the heart of Reading, due to period of business growth this business requires a Trainee Accountant to join their small but busy finance team.

The role
This Fantastic business are looking for Trainee Accountant to join their friendly dynamic team. Reporting into the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients. The duties of Trainee Accountant will include:

  • Processes multiple company contractor payrolls via online timesheet system with links to Accounts Payable/Receivable in accounting software
  • Dispatch contractor remittance advices and sales invoices weekly
  • Manage Ltd company payrolls on a weekly basis
  • Handle questions and queries regarding payrolls internally and externally
  • Manage daily bank reconciliations via the accounting system
  • Prepare weekly and monthly Gross Profit reports



What you'll need to be successful
With experience already gained and having already worked in a similar role you will have experience in the above duties. Working in a team you will need to have:

  • Finance experience is desirable but not essential
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (v look ups & pivot tables)
  • A willingness to learn and take extra responsibilities
