The company

A large accounting firm, with an office in central Reading, have created a brand new VAT / Indirect Tax position for an experienced Senior Manager. Whilst enjoying the support of a wider VAT team around the country, including London, the position in Reading provide a rare chance to mould and develop the VAT function in the Thames Valley.

The role

You will be offered a great deal of autonomy in this position, working closely with a London based team and VAT Director and Partner.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting clients with a range of VAT enquires

  • Portfolio management

  • Business development

  • Supporting less experienced team members

  • In developing the VAT business, you will be tasked with identifying commercial opportunities and growing the client base.

What you'll need to be successful

You will be an experienced and ambitious self-starter, and already at Manager / Senior Manager level.

A CTA / ACA professional qualification is essential, and you will also have recent practice / accounting firm experience.
