Senior EMEA Payroll Specialist - £30 - £35 per hour - East Slough - 3 month assignment
Impressive organisation with international connections seeks someone to join them on a interim basis to cover a busy period.
Day to Day supervision of Payroll - Allocating tasks and resolving team queries.
Recommends and assists in developing and implementing new and/or revised policies/procedures to ensure efficient processing of the payroll and ongoing compliance with legislative mandates and statutes
Assist in the development, implementation and reporting of payroll KPI's
Ensuring Ad Hoc projects are on track and completed within timescales.
Maintenance of good financial controls and compliance to policies and procedures
Analyzing any external (bureau) or internal (HR, Comp & Bens) issues for Payroll which potentially could cause delays of payments, escalating as required
Reviewing and pre approving supplier invoices - Bureaus.
Ensure all processes and procedures are adequately documented to comply with company and regulatory requirements, including SOX.
Provide responses to any queries received from 3rd parties
Provide query resolution for employees and staff on all EMEA Region payrolls.
Review and approve the payroll journals for each of the EMEA countries.
Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all nominal ledgers, for all payroll related accounts and costs, including the payroll control account, tax accounts, confidential accruals.
Partnering with payroll stakeholders to identify areas of improvement.
Work closely with Manager to assist internal and external auditors during audit process by providing documents, reports and other payroll-related reports upon request; implements procedural changes recommended by auditors
Provide monthly analysis for payroll P&L reconciliations.
Prepare annual reports/submissions for PSA, STBV, SAO etc.
Team player supporting the team as and when required.
Point of contact for HR and C&B
Carry out regular review meetings with the payroll bureaus.
What you'll need to be successful
End to end payroll experience, including European Payroll.
Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles
Knowledge of the principles, methods and practices of process improvement
A full understanding of the role of Payroll activities, including Basic European legislation.
Knowledge of Oracle would be an advantage
Management of 3rd Party providers to ensure SLA's met.
Strong team player.
