The company

I am currently working with a well-established company who are looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Assistant to join the team!

The role

You will be assisting with the end to end Accounts Payable processes as well as:

  • Daily posting of the payables transactions, intercompany transactions, direct debits and adhoc bank charges

  • Statement reconciliations

  • Organising bi-monthly BACS payment runs

  • Maintaining the paid invoices filing records

  • Cashbook posting for all supplier payments, direct debits and adhoc payments and transfers.

  • Liaise with suppliers and PO team regarding PO queries, payments and invoice/statement queries

  • Review aged creditors report on a weekly basis and resolve outstanding invoice issues and debit balances

What you need to be successful

You will have a minimum of 3 years' experience working within an Accounts Payable role as well as:

  • AAT or similar qualification (Desired)

  • Intermediate level of Excel (Including pivot tables and Vlook ups)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Good organisational skills

  • Ability to work on one's own initiative

  • Be able to build strong working relationships

  • Strong attention to detail
