The company
I am working with a creative company who are a world leader in their field recruit for a Senior Accounts Payable Assistant to join the team.

The role

You will be reporting directly to the Accounts Payable team leader ensuring the efficient running of the AP process as well as:

  • Actively reviewing and investigating aged AP balances

  • Mailbox allocation, delegation and monitoring of response times.

  • Ensuring incoming emails are actioned daily and managing own workload

  • Processing invoices against receipted Purchase Orders

  • Being the first point of contact for escalated supplier and colleague payment enquiries

  • Producing weekly Payment runs

  • Producing month end reports

  • Ownership of specific month end reconciliations including proactive review of aged items and actioning accordingly.

  • Ensuring statement tracker is updated with all relevant supplier account reconciliations

  • Utilising available reports and data to promptly process registered invoices

  • Ad-hoc duties

What you'll need to be successful

You will have at least 3 years experience working within an Accounts Payable team and be able to demonstrate a confident and professional approach as well as:

  • An understanding of how and when to account for VAT

  • Strong attention to detail

  • great organisational skills

  • Experience of Microsoft D365 accounting system

  • Intermediate level of Excel
