Practice Management Accountant -£35,000 - £40,000 Based on Experience - Slough

The company

Wade Macdonald are delighted to be working alongside a renowned accountancy practice based in Slough. With modern offices in the heart of Slough, our client is seeking a Management Accountant with experience of working in a Firm of Accountants to join an established team.

The role

This role will entail assisting with running management accounts for multiple clients in a timely and accurate manner. Other duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of annual and monthly management accounts

  • Dealing with prepayments, accruals and journals

  • Maintaining the fixed asset register

  • Authorisation of supplier invoices, expense claims and bank payments.

  • Dealing with client queries

  • VAT submissions

  • Bookkeeping

  • Chasing up outstanding invoices if requested by the client.

  • Further ad hoc duties as required

What you'll need to be successful

To ensure success in this role, key skills and attributes include:

  • Experience with VAT and all the other general business reporting requirements

  • Experience in the preparation of management accounts within practice

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal Excellent organisational skills, ability to work to tight deadlines and a positive attitude

  • Knowledge is beneficial, but not essential in Sage Line 50, Xero, Netsuite and Quickbooks
