People and Culture Manager - Westfield - £36000 during probation, £39000 after

The Company


A leading international retailer requires a HR professional to work within their leading Westfield store. You will work 5 days out of 7, choosing your own shift patterns but including some weekends and evenings to ensure that you are able to interact with all staff

The Role

You will provide advice and leadership to Store Management and HR team, contributing to the business HR strategy and effective operation of the store. You will coach the store management to increase productivity, influence culture and ensure that ER issues are kept to the minimum. You will foster best practice and partner with general managers to help meet business objectives. You will lead the HR supervisor and HR admin team.

Key Initiatives / Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment - Responsible for end-to-end recruitment at all levels, ensure the right people are on board at the right time
  • Succession Planning - Ensure that plans are in place for succession planning
  • Training / Development - Control of appraisals, training initatives, succession planning
  • Operating Standards - consistently deliver against company expectations on policy, staffing, budgets and remuneration
  • People - Culture, motivation, ER

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

 CIPD qualified

 Experience of managing complex ER issues

 A strong understanding of employment law

 Experience leading and managing a team of HR professionals

 Proven ability to build long term, trusting relationships with HR colleagues

 A commitment to developing your HR knowledge
