Payroll Manager

Slough, hybrid-working, up to £45,000pa plus excellent benefits package

Wade Macdonald is currently partnering with a successful business in Slough who operate within the financial services industry delivering within a niche sector. This role will support the wider business across multiple entities, ensuring the smooth day to day operation of the payroll function.

About the role - key responsibilities:

The role will be to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the payroll function. This will entail:

  • Processing all staff salaries and wages payments on a weekly basis, reflecting holidays, absences etc.

  • Collating, checking and processing weekly commissions, bonuses and any deductions.

  • Producing daily reports & monthly management reports, reporting to the directors & HR

  • Managing the workplace pension scheme and all statutory entitlements / queries

  • Completing the administration of the full end to end payroll function for all employees.

  • Assessing, notifying and processing statutory and occupational payments in accordance with the employees' relevant terms and conditions of employment

  • Calculating payments ensuring that all the required payroll adjustments are correctly entered into the payroll system

  • Completing bank reconciliations and supporting HR

  • Resolving problems and delivering outstanding internal customer service to employees

  • Any other tasks commensurate with the role

What you will need to be successful:

  • Previous experience as a Payroll Manager (or similar) is essential

  • A meticulous and organised approach with a very high level of integrity

  • Sage payroll experience and knowledge

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills

  • Ability to manage a busy workload
