My client, a long-established, Global Scientific Research company in Abingdon are seeking a Payroll Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

The role would suit a candidate who is well versed in payroll working best practices and has experience using Sage Payroll within a Global organisation.

You will be responsible for assisting with payrolls for UK & European employees. If you have +2 years experience within accurate processing of payroll on a monthly basis I would be delighted to represent you in application to this role.

Duties Include:

  • UK payroll processing for +150 employees
  • Managing and liaising with outsourced payroll providers in many countries throughout Europe
  • Reporting pension contributions to UK pension schemes
  • Monthly journal entries into financial systems (Sage Payroll)
  • Commission scheme admin, resolving queries and obtaining approvals within deadlines
  • Work closely with HR Team ensuring monthly changes are actioned in payroll
  • Assist with relevant audits, including Financial year end and SOX compliance

  • Knowledge of Sage and good Excel ability is beneficial

First stage nterviews will be done remotely via video link and second stage will be completed in person with socially distanced methods in their modern spacious offices.

Training will be provided either remotely or on-site. Working from home due to Lockdown (Jan 2021) is the expectation for this role but their offices are open.
