About the Job
This is a part-time Assistant Accountant position where you will play a key role in supporting financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, managing reconciliations, and assisting across payroll, accounts payable, and fee income processes.

Duties will include

  • Preparing draft monthly management accounts, including period-end journals and reconciliations
  • Supporting cash flow forecasting and audit preparation
  • Developing and optimising use of the finance system
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns and related journals
  • Assisting with supplier management, invoice processing, payments, and bank reconciliations
  • Administering payroll, pensions, and supporting salary reviews and calculations
  • Producing fee invoices, supporting credit control, and debtor analysis
  • Managing lettings income and overseeing outstanding hire fees

About the Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be studying towards an accounting qualification or be qualified by experience and have experience in financial reporting, modelling, and budget management. You will be detail-focused, analytical, and confident working with senior management. Strong communication skills, adaptability, and intermediate Excel knowledge are essential, alongside the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
