Management Accountant - Newbury - competitive salary

The company

A busy SME business in the Newbury area, require an experienced finance professional to join their business.

The role

This well-established business are looking for a Management Accountant to join their small but busy team. Working alongside the Finance Director, the Management Accountant will be responsible for monthly management accounting, reporting and analysis. The duties of the Management Accountant will include:

  • Producing a full set of management accounts inclusive of accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations

  • Cash flow forecasting

  • Support the finance director with budgeting

  • Management of financial reporting

  • Management of VAT returns

  • Ensuring all financial processes are dealt with in accordance to policy and procedure

  • Ad-hoc duties as requested by the finance director

What you'll need to be successful

With experience already gained and having already worked in a similar role you will have experience in the above duties. Working in a team you will need to have:

  • 2-3 years' experience of management accounting

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work quickly and accurately

  • Good communication skills (written & verbal)

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

  • A willingness to learn and take extra responsibilities
