Junior Business Analyst - Homebased Role - £24,000 - £26,000 per annum

Wade Macdonald are thrilled to be representing an exciting and rapidly growing business who specialise in turning disorganised data into actionable insight within the healthcare spectrum. They looking to support expansion of their friendly team by adding an ambitious analyst with experience within the healthcare sector.

The role

Supporting the data team in developing two key products.

  • Working with MS Excel to extract "open source" health data (GP Prescribing data, HES data etc.) and correlating to the Formulytics database with managed updates
  • Setting up and maintaining a VB Data Dictionary which includes contents, format, and structure of the VBdatabase and the relationship between its elements
  • Helping to support databases (SQL and Access)
  • Creating compelling visualisations and reports using Tableau - constantly striving to learn how to create evermore compelling and innovative story visualisation
  • Working on existing and new client reports meeting client demands through Tableau or advanced MS Excel
  • Working with the Content Director on the analytics to feed into client videos
  • Working with the wider data team to ensure company objectives are met

What you'll need to be successful

To be part of this exciting opportunity, you will need to have the following skills and experience:

  • Relational database design and creation
  • Search and data manipulation queries using MS SQL
  • Importing data, including cleanse and re-structuring
  • Preparing data for further analysis and insight (ETL)
  • Quality assurance in data storage and maintenance
  • MS SQL Server optimisation and system tuning
  • Access
  • Excel (including macros, formulas, pivot tables etc
  • Tableau Systems Developer

Ideal but not essential

Have experience and a passion for the healthcare sector as well as a relevant technical degree
