Interim Finance Business Partner - Slough (Hybrid) - £300 - £400 per day (6 months)
Our Client:
Working for a department of a local authority you will be supporting departments that truly make a difference to those they serve in their local communities. Reporting to the Finance Director you will assist with the management of budgets, explaining financial information to non-finance professionals.
The Role:
- Attend senior leadership meetings to discuss financial performance and present monthly reports
- Prepare management accounts
- Working with key stakeholders to drive strategic direction
- Process and systems improvements
- Communicate and negotiate with a wide variety of external contractors, suppliers and partners
- Drive budget preparation in collaboration with senior departmental leaders
- Assist with the 3 year plan
- Create financial models to provide effective tools for understanding cost drivers and the impacts of budgets
- Oversee treasury management functions, maintaining cashflow projections
- Ensure statutory returns are submitted in line with government timelines
About You
You will be a qualified accountant with experience of working in councils or local governments. You will be a strong communicator with sound analytical skills.
