HR Manager - Uxbridge - Up to £45,000 depending on experience

Wade Macdonald is working with a business close to Uxbridge who are seeking an experienced Standalone HR Manager you will be the first point of contact for all HR matters within the business.

  • Work in close partnership with senior management to prepare and implement HR strategy

  • Assisting Managers at all levels of the recruitment process from drafting recruitment adverts, liaising with recruitment sources, and interviewing candidates to making offers of employment.

  • Prepare starter forms, reference forms, offer letters and contracts of employment for all new starters

  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures

  • Keep the HR database updated with new starters, leavers, absence, payroll changes, etc.

  • Manage investigations and complex employee relations issues including disciplinary and grievance.

  • Ensure employee relation cases are managed to meet best practice requirements

  • Monitor annual appraisals, job chats and job reviews are completed in line with company policy

  • Generate reports and data to quantify performance and skills

  • Sitting on company committees to provide feedback and ways to improve the resources available to employees

  • Collate individual employees' sickness and annual leave entitlements

  • Manage disciplinary hearings, coaching managers on the best practice approach

  • Manage handling and investigation of grievance claims

  • Managing redundancy and restructure exercises when necessary

  • Prepare payroll forms as and when required

  • Writing and present training and induction programmes

  • Undertake training needs analysis and produce and update training plans

  • Oversee statutory training to include health and safety updates, fire warden, first aid and refresher training when required. Also have a good understanding of health and safety policies and procedures and local legislation and Assist the Health and Safety Officer when necessary.

  • Carry out any other reasonable ad hoc duties in order to support the HR department

To be considered for this role you will ideally be from a construction background within HR. The successful candidate will be CIPD qualified, have excellent communication and organisation skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
