Financial Controller, Slough, Hybrid, £70,000 - £80,000
My client, a highly successful business with a global presence is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the financial team for a group of companies. Acting as a number two to a strong Finance Director and assisting on ad-hoc projects when required.
What will your responsibilities in the role be?
- Responsibility for preparation of monthly internal and external reporting, ensuring that all local and group deadlines are adhered to.
- Managing process for timely and accurate completion of information to assist with the annual planning and budgeting process.
- Lead, mentor and guide finance team and support finance director on any adhoc projects when required.
- Continually review and test controls to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
- Drive process improvements, treasury management, and act as a communicator to the wider finance and management team.
What experience do you need for the role?
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) - 5 years post qualified experience.
- Experienced in managing a finance department, preferably within a larger organisation.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines, understanding reporting requirements of companies with a complex structure.
What else would add to your application?
- Experience of stock inventory would be an advantage.
- Experience with SAP and an advanced user of Excel would be an advantage.
