A subsidiary of a highly-regarded and acquisitive listed business.
The role:
This is an exciting interim opportunity in which you will be tasked with the post-acquisition integration of a German sme into a larger listed business. The role requires 1 trip per month to Germany and fluency in both German and English.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage the financial integration process. This is a significant item that will take up to a year as the appropriate reporting and internal controls are put in place. You will have support from the FD and sector CFO in this task.
- Build, lead, coach and develop the Finance team (currently outsourced, you will likely need to hire at least 1 person to work for you)
- Lead the production of timely, informative and accurate local Management accounts and financial data, that are in line with IFRS and Group accounting standards and that guide the decisions and direction of the business
- Establish appropriate internal controls, ensuring their adequacy at all times and communicating pro-actively when an issue or potential issue arises.
Who we're looking for:
- A recognized professional accounting qualification, while a graduate degree would be preferred it is not necessary
- Business level fluency in both German and English
- Able to travel to Germany once per month
- Experience with metrics-driven financial planning and analysis skills to drive the development of KPIs and the standardization of financial processes which meaningfully impacts the results & direction of a business

What you will receive in return:
- A 6 month FTC that is highly likely to extend up to as mush as one year.
- £60,000 - £80,000, possibly day rate equivalent
