Financial Accountant, up to £40,000
Hybrid working, Uxbridge
Wade Macdonald is currently recruiting a Financial Accountant for a well-established business based in Uxbridge. This role will suit someone who is studying (ideally part-qualified) and who is looking to join a team and help drive new processes and efficacy for a new area of the business.
About the role - key responsibilities:
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for financial reporting and have a broad range of accounting tasks which include statutory financial statement preparation, balance sheet, payroll and fixed asset reconciliation as well as VAT return.
- Monthly preparation of revenue and expenses journal entries
- Monthly reconciliation of revenue and expenses to third party reports and cash receipts
- Ownership over the fixed assets cycle
- Prepare accounts analysis for General Ledger balances
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany recharges
- Review of the monthly intercompany reconciliation
- Assisting with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting
- Preparation of the monthly management reporting package
- Assisting with preparation of monthly and quarterly VAT returns and corporate tax
- Supporting the internal and external audit team to complete audit requirements
What you will need to be successful:
- Part-Qualified or actively studying (ACCA or CIMA is preferred)
- Previous accounting experience within finance and accounting (FMCG / manufacturing experience is preferred)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Previous use of SAP (preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills (preferred)
- Ability to organise and management time effectively
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team and independently
