Financial Accountant
Wade Macdonald is currently recruiting a Financial Accountant for a well-known and highly innovative engineering company based in Wantage, Oxfordshire.
We are looking for a passionate qualified Financial Accountant who is looking for a move into industry ready to embark on a rewarding journey with a growing Finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and report financial transactions with precision.
- Handle diverse accounting tasks, from journals to reconciliations.
- Prepare technical accounting papers based on contract documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for insightful financial analysis.
- Be the subject matter expert for assigned balance sheet and P&L areas.
- Manage month-end close processes efficiently.
- Identify and deliver improvements for balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislation.
- Own the annual audit process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate accounting records.
- Support ERP development, especially Microsoft Dynamics.
- Assist with treasury and tax matters.
- Drive process improvements in collaboration with financial partners.
Qualifications and Experience:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 0-2 years PQE.
- 3+ years of relevant financial accounting experience.
- Degree or equivalent with a strong academic/professional record.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
- Problem-solving skills and a passion for financial matters.
- Experience with Microsoft D365 and PowerBI (desired but not essential).

Salary
£48,000 - £53,000 plus bonus and benefits
