Our client:

Wade Macdonald is currently recruiting for a Finance operations Manager for a Global Engineering Company based in South Oxfordshire.

The role:

The Financial Operations Manager is responsible for the team that ensures accurate recording and processing of transactions in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury (for a number of legal entities), along with other accounting and operational tasks. You will be the subject matter expert for all transactional (accounts payable, receivable and bank) areas of the balance sheet and P&L, providing accurate data to other team members and ensuring accounting records are maintained in line with regulatory frameworks and internal policies and procedures.

As a Finance Operations Manager, you will:

  • Manage the month end close process, ensuring subledgers for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank are fully reconciled and revalued for month end exchange rates
  • Manage processing of supplier invoices for adherence to internal policies & procedures in a timely manner through to payment
  • Manage supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Manage processing of employee expenses for adherence to internal policies & procedures in a timely manner
  • Produce, monitor and enhance monthly KPIs for operational finance • Manage initiation of manual invoices and subsequent collection
  • Manage the Treasury operational procedures including but not limited to releasing payments, accurate recording of transactions, timely resolution of reconciling items
  • Manage the short term cash flow forecast and liaise with stakeholders to ensure management of cash flow
  • Support other finance processes such as audit and tax in respect of supplier and customer invoices
  • Drive improved governance, compliance monitoring and efficiencies within operational finance
  • Manage and develop the team 

Who we're looking for:

  • As a Finance Operations Manager, you’ll:
  • Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Accountant or qualified by experience 
  • Have at least 5 years of relevant financial operations experience with at least 3 years managing a small team
  • Have experience of managing individuals within a finance operations environment and can demonstrate a good understanding of all respective areas
  • Have experience working with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Be able to take full ownership for identifying and solving financial operational issues
  • Experience of D365 and/or working in a group environment would be advantageous
  • Able to commute frequently to south Oxfordshire

South Oxfordshire – This role is Office based 4 days a week and one day at home.
